Who is Mrigashree Baruah?
Young giggle bug who is involved in philanthropy. Adventing from Tezpur, the cultural capital of Assam she devotes the gratitude of developing a part of her personality to the city of love and river Brahmaputra.
“Tezpur has shredded love and blood . It has taught me lessons of life. Mythological stories from this city of love have taught me power and the essence of unseen. It has taught me the capability of human minds and its power beyond imagination. Be grateful for not having miseries in your life.”
Having instilled leadership qualities, Mrigashree , Miss. NE India Runner up 2019 , a classical dancer , a speaker, a social worker at Interact Club under Rotary International, who has concluded over 17-20 flood survival camps, 4 International projects, 5 state level events and many community development projects and she is enjoys cooking, reading self improvement books, painting and dancing. She believes in taking charge and executing.
How do you manage your work and personal life?
“I have a dedicated slot for each and every activity like dance, studying and spending time with family.” she adds. She tries to absorb as much knowledge as she can while she has dedicated her time to study. She divulges that she doesn’t like to grieve, be resentful in front of anyone. Instead she loves to spread joy, fun and happiness around.
“For me dance is not only mudras, it involves Bhakti to attain that level of shakti. I place myself in the position wherein I am determined to let out my emotions through dance.”
Mrigashree’s Passion for dancing
Starting at prime age of three years, she started her journey as a dancer and an artist when her mother enrolled her into a dance and an art school at the same time.Also, she shares how her aunt, who is a successful Sattriya dancer has inspired her in every possible way. She adds to this how she feels a sense of freedom and how she can express her emotions through her mudras and eyes while dancing as she is not only a Sattriya dancer but also knows to perform Bihu, Jhumur, some Gwalpuriya dance forms and many more. Mrigashree started her journey of swotting Bihu dance.
“ When I attained maturity, by seeing my aunt dancing,I understood that she had attained freedom. Being a young girl I didn’t understand the nuances of dance. But when I have attained maturity I express the benevolence, grief, anger and all forms of expressions that are instilled in my heart, through facial expressions and my dance.”
Vision behind righteousness
As rightly said, “ What comes around, goes around.” Mrigashree goes by the pearl of wisdom of her father. She states that, “ My father says we are just temporary on this earth. What we do stays in the form of Karma.”
“ Karma magnifies when we convert our good thinking, the good thinking manifests all the beautiful things of helping others. All this righteousness comes back in magnanimous form in return.”
“Self satisfaction motivates me to keep going”, she adds. Her heart screeches when she sees someone sleeping on the footpath with an empty stomach. She believes in going out of the way to help the underprivileged. Mrigashree is a staunch believer in equality, human rights and humanity.
Path of Spirituality
Spirituality is not an abstract concept but way beyond she believes. Through the path of spirituality she has attained self knowledge, morality and self efficacy. Cosmos is beyond one’s imagination , she states. Spirituality has conditioned her to be non- judgemental and help without expectation.

Mrigashree’s blueprint to influence others
As a part of her personality, she organises, plans and measures the sustainability of an activity . The motive behind the activity is what connects the people to be the part of her initiative. It’s difficult sometimes but the right intend, empathy always helps, she reviews comprehensively.
“ I am always ready to absorb and reflect new ideas.”
What revolution did she instituted
“ Young generation are the building blocks of society. Impact which my organisation has created is huge.” she replied. Leading by example for the younger generation, amalgamation of confidence and clarity will be palpable in the longer run.
“My mother is my role model. She groomed me to stand for oneself, respect our self and others.Always provide a helping hand for people in need and we must never stay behind in supporting people as much we can .
How can public entities can contribute
Government can contribute by guiding, offering a platform to work or may be monetarily. Helping to strengthen the community development programs in the rural areas. She expects the NGO to join together to form human chain for reaching out to more people here.
How to intensify the virtue
Encouragement to achieve the goal, understanding and reflecting on oneself and stand on high morality to intensify virtue. Clarity, patience and confidence are contributing factor for enhancing the experience of virtue. Pleasing satisfaction is her driving force behind philanthropy.

“Budgetary constraints, lack of trust, micro-managing people, team work , companies seeking profitability by contributing and people obstructing the idea are the areas which needs to be addressed,” she replies.
How people outside the organisation can help
“Understanding the motive of the organisation, sense of gratitude towards community and contributing towards humanity,”Mrigashree told Saffron Umbrella. Connecting one end of the city to another requires more and more people. She urges responsible citizens to contribute towards society by guidaning the club.
“Be flexible with your own mind, self reflection, be emotionally intelligent, be forgiving, focus on self development and positively affirmation helps to transform the individual and inturn creating a better world.”.
Message to people
“Be you, be determined, be focused and be brave to do the right and stand for humanity,” she remarks with confidence.
“If you are wrong you will be corrected and if you are right you will be guided. Don’t get affected by opinionated people, focus on yourself and excel in life.”
How your current role fills you with gratitude and pride?
Mrigashree affirms that she is grateful for having a thought of positivity and goodness. She seeks the answers to questions of how to turn things around. Feeling of completeness, being resilient towards the cause and intentions to give to the society without any self-interest is what fills her with pride. She expresses her gratitude to cosmos, her parents, people who helped her in journey and herself. She gets goosebumps when she touches the lives of the underprivileged with her helping hands.
“Your pride is you, your thoughts, your vision and execution of those thoughts into reality. My current role has helped me to attract light, to attract love and to have a vision to resolve miseries of people.”
